Thursday evening was just lovely having dinner on the terrace here at the apartments with the three lovely Canadian ladies, Kathleen, Carol and Kenda. They had prepared a feast of tuscan delights including Pasta, artichokes, porchetta (roasted pork )buretta (an amazing fresh buffalo mozzarella), tuna and bean salad and pecorino with local honey.

Fantastic to see Caroline and Norbert who arrived in their hire car from Florence late friday afternoon. I had the Vino Nobile Di Montepulciano and Pecorino cheese, fresh and semi stagionato with some delicious little salsicce (sausage) I bought at the local fresh food markets on Thursday morning. We then went for dinner at Osteria Acquacheta about 100m from the apartment. it is very informal, traditional and reservations mandatory! It was crowded, noisy, busy, shared tables, carafe wine and excellent pasta and regional recipes. I had pici with chinghiale (wild boar) which was sensational.
