On Thursday 14th of march I Drove towards Plymouth to Kingsand and Cawsand…
It was a stunning day with lots of sunshine and ended in a nice plate of fish and chips, with mushy peas, at the Blue Peter Inn in Polperro.

Found a great little shop in Looe that sells fresh local fish and vegetables. Found out what the great British Cod looks like!

Harrisons the Butcher in Leigh on Sea is a good old fashioned meat shop and sells lamb fed on the salt marsh grasses around Maldon (yes..where Maldon salt comes from) in the local area. I bought some for dinner and along with this showcase of local cuisine is the famous Birdwood Bakery sourdough which we have fresh everyday. Mabel is very excited!

We actually had a late breakfast, admired the stunning orchids and then got the tube straight to Regent Street for some shopping at Liberty of London, Molton Brown and Selfridges where we had fun in the Cath Kidston store.

What a beautiful city..so English! Caught the train from London to Bath Spa and checked into Brindley’s Guest House which is just so lovely..

Had Lunch at Sally Lunn’s which is very quaint and famous for its Buns which are sort of like a cake, brioche type thing, sweet or savoury.
Then visited the Roman Baths….
Said a prayer in Bath Abbey…
And finished off with a twighlight package at the Thermae Spa..rooftop thermal pool, dinner, scented steam rooms, waterfall shower and Minerva bath. It was quite divine!
