My walking tour highlights included The Circus
The very Georgian Royal Crescent
The Jane Austen Centre where I had ‘Tea with Mr Darcy”

Walked down Great Pulteney Street
and saw some first signs of spring with bulbs pushing up through the ground.

What a beautiful city..so English! Caught the train from London to Bath Spa and checked into Brindley’s Guest House which is just so lovely..

Had Lunch at Sally Lunn’s which is very quaint and famous for its Buns which are sort of like a cake, brioche type thing, sweet or savoury.
Then visited the Roman Baths….
Said a prayer in Bath Abbey…
And finished off with a twighlight package at the Thermae Spa..rooftop thermal pool, dinner, scented steam rooms, waterfall shower and Minerva bath. It was quite divine!

After a smooth and fast tracked path through immigration and baggage collection Bob from Crosswinds transferred me safely to Roseanne’s beautiful home at Herschell Road to a warm welcome and my gorgeous attic room complete with Laura Ashley quilt and Daffodils. Ted has grown and matured and Mabel is now walking and trying to talk and just as cute as ever. It was great to catch up with Roseanne..so much to talk about. Did manage to catch Glyn in between Birdwood Bakery daily management!

Hammersmith and its Bridge over the Thames, Colet Court, Barnes, Lunch at the Sun Inn Pub.
